C-Suite – In -Person Meetings in the Pandemic

If you’re like me, you’re caught somewhere between your enthusiasm to return to our formerly robust pre-pandemic living and the fear that the next variant or outburst may be just around the corner.

I am reminded of a recent presentation from Dianne Lee and David Ackert, in which Dianne surveyed fifty C-suite executives about their comfort level around in-person meetings. As of March 31, 72% were already comfortable with a face-to-face meeting with a colleague, but only 54% anticipated being comfortable meeting in groups of 50 or more before December. For most of them, an invitation to an outdoor lunch is welcome, but industry conferences can wait until sometime next year.

One of my favorite takeaways from the program was the encouragement to ask clients about their meeting preferences. Find out how your clients’ comfort level is evolving so you can propose appropriate interactions.

Our current situation is fluid. Keep your finger on the pulse.
